Sofija Stefanović is a PhD student at the Centre for Doctoral Training in Artificial Intelligence For Environmental Risk (AI4ER) at Cambridge University. Her work aims to co-develop data science tools for environmental monitoring with communities resisting mining, particularly in the context of intensified mining for “clean technologies.”

She is a co-founder of Zeleni talas—a civil society organisation in Serbia that focuses on community-driven monitoring and increasing citizen participation in decision-making for urban environmental issues.
